Today we are going back to our Advertising 101 series to talk about testing.
I know you’ve heard that testing your advertising is the best way to find out what works, but do you do it?
If you run tests, collect the data & analyze the results, you will not only know what works best for your audience, but you will stop wasting money and energy on things that don’t work.
Deciding what to test can seem daunting but it doesn’t have to be. Today I’m going to provide 3 things you can easily test in Facebook and why.
Image – Use the same text for two posts but change the image on one. When the test is over, check to see which one was engaged with more. That’s the one that caught the most eyes so use that type of imaging as often as you can.
Call to action – Use the same image & text but change up the call to action. This will tell you which call to action your customer base responds to better so you can use that more often.
Posting Day – Try posting on a different day to see if your post will reach more people, like I’m doing today. I usually publish my blogs on Wednesday but this week I decided to see if Tuesday works better. I will take the information and decide which day to send my blogs moving forward.
These are just a few things you can test. The testing opportunities are truly endless so have fun with it. Just make sure to run 1 test at a time. If you run multiple tests at a time, you won’t know which change works and which don’t.
That’s all for now. As always, if you have any questions about testing or online advertising in general, simply reach out. We’ll gladly help create a Buzz around your business anyway we can.
