Ads are every where you look online but when it comes down to it, they fall into main 2 categories, Impression Ads & Search Ads. It is important to know what each one does before deciding on which one to invest in. Let me explain.
Impression Ads are ads created to consistently remind your customer’s that you are open. They run on social media platforms & on Google. I compare these to traditional newspaper, radio, or tv ads. You show your ads to as many people as possible, as many times as possible, & hope they remember you when they need you.
Search Ads are ads created to show when a person is actively looking to purchase your product or service. These run on Google & Microsoft Search Networks. I compare them to traditional ads in the yellow pages.
Knowing the difference is very important when it comes to not wasting money on ads. For example, if you are expecting a bunch of calls from your impression ads, you will be disappointed when you don’t get them. An Impression ad can be shown to hundreds of thousands of people but only a small percent will actually click on the ad.
Same goes if you expect a bunch of views on search ads, you won’t get them because these ads only reach a couple hundred people. However you can expect closer to 25-30% of them calling for an appointment.
In the next few posts we will dive deeper into each one but that’s all I have for you today.
Do you know which one you are using?
