Welcome back to ‘Advertising Made Easy’. Today we are going to talk about Search ads.

Search ads are designed to show when people are searching for your product or service. They run on search engines such as Google & Microsoft which covers Bing, Yahoo, and others.

Here are a few things you need to consider before you start running them for your business.

Pros

~ They show when people need you! – They only show to someone that is actively looking to solve a problem.

~ They are targeted! – The platforms allow you to target only potential customers, so you don’t waste money on people that won’t buy from you.

~ You don’t need content! – To create a search ad, you provide the platform multiple lines of text. You can add pictures, but they are not required. Once you set the text, you let it run.

Cons

~ They are more expensive. – These are pay-per-click ads so the cost can very. Things like locations, keyword & time of year all effect the cost per click.

~ Not many people see them. – Only people that are actually searching for your service or business will see your ad. If they don’t search for you, they won’t see it.

~ There are so many options. – Unless you have time to really learn the platform, doing it yourself can be very tricky. It is easy to waste money because of all the settings.

When it comes down to it when ran correctly search ads will yield results, but it does come at a price.
